Episode 8:

     Right after the third date itself, it became clear in Kriti's mind that he was the right person for her. After four months they got engaged.

     After finishing her BA, Shruti completed her MA in journalism and mass communications as suggested by Mr Salunke. Then she started working in 'My World'. She was a brave girl and like Mr Salunke had thought she had no fear. Her first assignment was 'Ayodhya', which she covered in three-part series. It was aired and liked. Next was the coverage of 'Dubai flesh trade'. It was also aired and many found it interesting. But there were many including Mr Salunke who found it gore. On asking, she replied, "It was indeed gore, that's why we were covering it." Mr Salunke smiled and agreed to air that also.
     Then one day in the middle of the night the door bell rang repeatedly. Waking up from the slumber, she herself opened the door. Manjri, her colleague had come. Panting, in a very hush-hush tone she asked Shruti to come to the nearby government hospital. There was a rape victim admitted there. The girl, Laxmi was a dalit girl. She was raped brutally by two upper caste men for not paying ₹ 10,000 which she had taken as a loan from them three months ago. Laxmi's case was the 'breaking news' that day. Its presentation was so good that the people of India were glued to 'My World'. But along with heated debates on television channels, it created riots- upper caste- dalit.
